Tutoring in North Vancouver

We now offer services in North Vancouver!

We are excited to expand our geographical map and be able to give our services to all of you living in North Vancouver. From the Quay to the Capilano Bridge, we have tutors who are willing to come to your home and help the academic success of your child. For millennia the ancestors of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Tsleil-Waututh and X’muzk’i’um (Musqueam) peoples harvested Burrard Inlet for fish, shellfish, seaweed and plant material.  In 1891 the district of North Vancouver developed into the city with West Vancouver seceding in 1912. North Vancouver has now developed into a metropolis, while also maintaining the natural beauty of the forest and ocean around it.
My Grade Booster would like to acknowledge that we are on the unceded and traditional territories of the sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) nations. We are socially aware of the effects of colonization on Aboriginal youth in their learning and the historical nature and untrust of the Residential “School” System and government. The first residential “school” in North Vancouver was St. Paul’s Indian Residential School built in 1891, in the same site that currently St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School is on. At MyGradeBooster, we believe in honoring the history of the cities we work in and the people who came before us, by tutoring our students to the best of our capabilities and acknowledging the history that has occurred on this land.
